For Gym Owners
Your gym’s listing & rankings
Your gym is likely already in The Cheer Collective directory — built from public competition data so families can find and compare programs. Claiming it hands you the keys: control of the profile, a verified badge, and a dashboard to keep everything current. Here’s what a claimed listing gives you, how rankings and results show up, and how to get started.
What a claimed listing gives you
The directory lists gyms so cheer families can find, compare and evaluate programs near them. Claiming your gym verifies that you represent it and unlocks control over how it’s presented — the difference between a page built from public data and a page you actively run.
A verified badge
A claimed, reviewed listing carries a verified marker that signals to families the profile is maintained by the gym itself — not an unclaimed stub.
Profile control
Edit your description, contact details, hours, website and logo, and add a Register button that points families straight to your registration page.
Programs & status
Set the levels and programs you offer, tumbling and travel policy, and flip “Now enrolling” and “Tryouts open” with tryout dates so families see live status.
Your season, presented
Surface your teams, divisions and competition schedule, and choose whether to display competition scores on your profile.
Start here
Find your gym in the directory and claim it, or add your gym if it isn’t listed yet. Every submission is reviewed before it goes live.
The owner dashboard
Once you’ve claimed a gym, its management dashboard is where you keep everything current. It’s built to be a few minutes of upkeep a week, not a project.
- Profile & brand — description, contact info, hours, logo, website and your Register button link.
- Programs & filters — levels offered, tumbling, travel policy, age bands and program tags that determine how families filter to you.
- Enrollment status — “Now enrolling” and “Tryouts open” toggles plus tryout dates, so your page reflects reality in season.
- Your season — teams, divisions and schedule, with the option to hide competition scores on your profile.
- Competition attendance — mark the events your teams are attending so families and the competition finder connect the dots.
- Announcements — post updates for families viewing your profile.
How rankings & results visibility work
Season rankings and results are built from public competition data — the placements teams actually earn on the mat. This matters for two reasons: your results show up whether or not you’ve claimed the gym, and claiming doesn’t change your ranking. What claiming changes is your ability to present that record — to add context, keep your profile accurate, and decide how scores appear on your own page.
Rankings are earned, not bought
Rankings reflect competition results, so no listing tier moves a team up the board. The honest record is the record — claiming a gym lets you frame it, not change it.
Results follow the season
As results come in, they flow to gym profiles and the rankings. Keeping your teams and divisions accurate on the dashboard helps those results attach to the right teams.
Score display is your call
A claimed profile can choose to show or hide competition scores on its own page — useful for younger or developmental teams — without affecting the underlying public data.
Featured is about placement, not ranking
A featured listing is a marketing option — top placement in the directory and search, plus a branded cover, your colors and your record up front. It changes where you appear, never how your teams rank. See what a featured listing looks like on the coaches & gyms hub.
Season planning basics
A directory profile is most useful when it tracks your actual season. The all-star calendar runs roughly May through April — tryouts and placements in late spring, choreography and camps over summer, first competitions in late fall, and the heaviest travel from January to the spring championships.
- Update enrollment and tryout status before your spring placement window — that’s when searching families are most active.
- Confirm your teams, divisions and levels at the start of the season so results attach cleanly as competitions begin.
- Mark competition attendance as your schedule firms up to appear alongside those events.
- Lean on the coaches’ hub for the operational side — music licensing, choreography, insurance, certifications and planning templates.
The full operational toolkit for running a program lives in the coaches & gyms resource hub, and the season arc is mapped in the all-star season calendar.

Common questions
How do I claim my gym’s listing?
Find your gym in The Cheer Collective directory and start the claim, or add it if it isn’t listed. Every claim and submission is reviewed before it goes live, after which you get dashboard control and a verified badge.
Does claiming or featuring my gym change its ranking?
No. Rankings are built from public competition results, so no listing action moves a team up the board. Claiming lets you present and contextualize your record; featuring changes where you appear in the directory and search, not how you rank.
Is a directory listing free?
Being listed and claiming your profile is about representing your gym accurately in the directory. Featured placement is a separate, optional marketing upgrade. Reach out through the add/claim flow to get set up.
How do competition results end up on my gym’s page?
Results come from public competition data and attach to gym profiles and the season rankings. Keeping your teams and divisions accurate in the dashboard helps those results map to the right teams, and you can choose whether scores display on your profile.
What’s the difference between the directory listing and gym software?
The directory listing is your public profile families discover you through. Gym management software handles the business — registration, billing, rosters and family communication. They’re complementary; ask us about KC Storefront if you want the software side.
